What started as a search to find a new house after selling our family home turned into the ultimate creative project.
We happened upon the Church on Seventh Street without any clue as to what we were getting ourselves into. Built in the 1950's, St. Timothy Lutheran was constructed from a combination of the most humble and extravagant materials. Cinder block walls surround the perimeter while 4" thick solid tongue and groove beams cover the entire ceiling. Massive architectural trusses hold the entire building together creating the most amazing space, perfectly minimal and beyond beautiful.
We tried to stay true to the age of the building, constructing a mid century modern inspired interior. White walls, wood flooring and modern touches all play together to keep the space light, bright and functional.
The exterior is a work in progress. We aren't in any hurry though. The Church is an evolving project, never truly finished. We like it that way. It keeps things interesting.
